DATES WITH MARZIPAN AND PLUMS IN CHOCOLATE

Dates stuffed with peanut butter, marzipan, and dipped in chocolate are a sure thing at the party. Everyone will be tempted by a miniature full of sweets. I also use chocolate glaze to prepare plums in chocolate. So in one go I have two delicious desserts that I can make in advance and store in the fridge.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh dates
  • 1 bag California dried plums
  • peanut butter
  • marzipan

chocolate glaze:

  • 3 tsp coconut oil
  • 6 tsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 15 tsp water

Instructions:

  1. Melt the glaze ingredients in a small saucepan. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the glaze is shiny.
  2. Remove the stones from the dates.
  3. Stuff them with peanut butter and a formed marzipan eggs.
  4. Dip the stuffed dates in the glaze.
  5. Put them on a baking paper and leave aside.
  6. Put the plums in a saucepan with chocolate glaze and mix thoroughly.
  7. Put the plums on a baking paper.
  8. Put the dates and the plums in the fridge.
  9. After approx. 1 hour, the chocolate will set and you can put dates and plums into jars.
  10. Keep the dates with marzipan and the plums with chocolate in the refrigerator.

Tips:

You can replace the chocolate glaze with melted chocolate with a little water or plant milk.
