CAMP BREAD WITH TOMATO SALSA

This year, I will serve camp bread on the Easter table. It go well with any dish and it can be quickly fried and served while still warm. They also worked outdoors, I absolutely wanted to test it in "cowboy" conditions. For this test, I chose Fjøløy Island with a beautiful lighthouse. I lit my fire there:)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup od flour
  • 1/4 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 tsp of oregano
  • ok. 75 ml water (it can be warm)
  • olive oil/coconut oil

tomato salsa:

  • 10 cherry tomatoes 
  • 1/2 red onion
  • salt, pepper, oregano
  • olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Put flour, baking powder, salt and oregano to a bowl. Stir.
  2. Add water and knead a dough (if it is too dry, add some water).
  3. Divide the dough in half and form two flat bread.
  4. Fry in the olive oil/coconut oil until bread is golden-browned.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the salsa.
  6. Cut tomatoes and onions finely.
  7. Add spices, olive oil and mix.
  8. Serve camp bread with tomato salsa.
